Excellent advice on the best muffler for my truck!! Perfect sound!

Thanks for the great review Mike, and for allowing us to wake up that beautiful 2024 GMC exhaust with a 50 series Flowmaster muffler. Sounds like it should.

Can't believe I've been driving by this place for years I'm so glad I finally decided to stop and give them a try they are so much better than the place I've been using, just completely outperformed. I am truly a happy customer and will be taking all four of my vehicles to Ripley's from here on out thank you for the great job you did on my truck!

My wife’s car wouldn’t shift out of park. We had it towed to the Rayford location and they were able to help get it off the flatbed tow truck into the shop. It was fixed the next day and works great.

I DO NOT TRUST THEM anymore. Dropped my son‘s car off here because it was overheating and getting exhaust fumes in the car. They told me I needed a water pump, thermostat, water outlet, brakes, and rotors, some vacuum seal, spark, plugs, coolant flush, oil change, oil leak fixed… I purchased $500 worth of parts and spent another $3100 in parts and labor for other repairs. $3600 later the car is still overheating and exhaust fumes are still getting in the car. Now they’re saying it’s going to be another $3300 to fix it. My family has been using Ripley‘s Total Car Care since 2007. I referred by my mother-in-law here several years ago for a catalytic converter replacement. A year later, the catalytic converter had to be replaced again. Ripley‘s says they offer a three-year warranty on any jobs they provide the parts and labor. They did not pay for her catalytic converter replacement when it failed one year after she got them to do it.

Update: I received a phone call from the owner (David) in response to my initial review. He was very genuine, concerned, apologetic (about both of the bad experiences) and offered a significant discount on the repairs that are still needed (but not for the repairs they misdiagnosed and performed). Though I’m not willing to invest any more than I already have into repairs at this time, I can see they still have SOME? commitment to customer service. I am disappointed that the brakes and rotors were replaced in spite of my demand to not install until they were SURE the car was fixed, as I wouldn’t have invested in new brakes and rotors for a car that is not even drivable. It’s really disheartening honestly. This was my whole families “go to mechanic” because we truly trusted them. We’ve referred EVERYONE we know that has had car problems here for almost 20 years. I don’t think I or the rest of my family will return. And I personally cannot with sound mind recommend Ripley’s to others anymore either. I have updated my review to 3 stars in response to David’s call and in consideration of the cumulative experience those I have referred here that did have a good experience. I went in three days before but they needed all day to run the test on my truck I drove by three days latter and seen some open bays They took my truck in right away and within 25 minutes came back with a list of things that could be wrong They wanted to start at the top and work there way down tell they found the right one While charging me for each step plus the 179$ diagnostic test I said no because I thought by the time they get to the problem it would be over 2k for the fix I phoned a GM place and asked them if they would run a test and if they would just change out the parts tell they found the problem They said no the diagnosis test would do the work for them it would make the person running the test work a little harder or the shop that I took it to just thought that I was a Senior Citizen with lots of money I would never go back there even to get a windshield wiper changed

Let me check into this. Doesn't sound like our normal steps.
