⭐ 1 Star – Negligence, Poor Workmanship, and Zero Accountability I don’t write reviews lightly, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. I’ve spent over $2,000 at Ripley’s Total Car Care in Spring, TX, including $202.22 for a coolant flush that, according to another shop, was never actually performed. But the bigger issue? Safety. After a previous visit where Ripley’s installed a fan in my vehicle, my steering wheel began shaking and the car started rattling. When I brought my car back, I specifically asked them to: * Investigate the shaking * Perform a coolant flush They did neither. 1. The rattling was still there when I left 2. The coolant flush was charged, but not done At that point, I no longer trusted their work and took my car to another shop. What they found was alarming: * A bolt/screw from the fan Ripley’s installed was missing or not secured properly * This is what caused the shaking and rattling * The issue came directly from Ripley’s previous work Let me be clear: This wasn’t just a missed detail, this was negligence. They installed the part incorrectly the first time… Then had a second opportunity to inspect it… And still failed to catch their own mistake. That’s not just poor service, that’s dangerous. And it didn’t stop there. We reached out to Ripley’s to ask why we were charged for a coolant flush that wasn’t done and to address the safety issue. 📞 No returned calls 📞 No accountability 📞 No attempt to make it right They simply ghosted us. In today’s economy, businesses survive on trust, ethics, and accountability. Ripley’s failed on all three. I know for sure it wasn’t performed because at the new shop they walked me to my car up on the riser to show me a flush test they did and I saw him test the coolant. It was old. Because of this: * They’ve lost two vehicles worth of business * Both are luxury foreign cars requiring ongoing service * And they’ve lost a customer who was willing to invest in quality care Instead, we found a shop that immediately identified the issue and fixed everything properly the first time. These men smiled in my face all while charging me for work not completed. If you’re a woman alone DO NOT bring your car here, you will regret it. And at this point, I understand the name. “Rip”ley’s fit. I will never return and will never recommend them to anyone who values their safety, their time, or their money. Additionally EVERYTHING they recommended us to get done and actually tried to get done on that second visit, was not broken. I have video and pictures I requested while in the shop of the new dealership. I will happily give my money to hands down the best mechanic shop we were able to find right in our area. My car isn’t shaking anymore and no more noises.
